I’m Still Learning – Michelangelo

 In Articles

“Think of it this way: There are two kinds of failure. The first comes from never trying out your ideas because you are afraid, or because you are waiting for the perfect time. This kind of failure you can never learn from and such timidity will destroy you. The second kind comes from a bold and venturesome spirit. If you fail in this way, the hit that you take to your reputation is greatly outweighed by what you learn. Repeated failure will toughen your spirit and show you with absolute clarity how things must be done.” – Robert Greene

This week I set out to make something incredible but everything that could have possibly gone wrong, went terribly wrong this weekend. However, a lot of things were amazing. I realized I still have a great deal to learn, but I guess that’s what each piece is supposed to do to you. It pushes you past your limits and stretches your abilities so that you can become the best version of yourself.

Nature beauty is unapologetic. It evolves at its own pace and it doesn’t wait until its given permission to be what it needs to be. Nature allows you to watch it changes whether it’s a gorgeous sunny day, a natural disaster it’s magic continues, as life continues.  The world around us gives love and art to us daily. We are all continuously interconnected creations of life and love that  feed from each other’s energy each day. As life continues we’ll have our disaster day’s ,but the art of life won’t wait for us to ready for it’s beauty we’ll just have to catch up our time. The sun will come out again. You’ll have better days. You will continue to grow.

I have a great deal of growth left, but I am well aware of where I am on my journey to mastery. Well, I guess this film won’t make itself. The other project that I refered to in my last post has been placed on ice because I still have more to learn, and I want to give it the life and time that it deserves. That’s all for now.

As Einstein once said, “Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason, mastery demands all of a person”- thus I am off now to go and give all of myself to every frame. Until next time my friend.
